Making edits to the Current Finances screen will automatically create a progress point for each day based on a rollup of your current finances, unless you have specified that you’d rather create progress points manually.

At this time, progress points are simply for tracking purposes, and you can also add historical points manually if you wish. By saving progress points periodically to build a historical record of your actual net worth over time, you can see a plot of your real-world progress overlaid on top of your projections in any fixed-date plan.
